Tea For Trussell event a tremendous success

Fun in the Sun - We’ve been supporting our Charity of the Year, The Trussell Trust, Leeds North and West, by hosting a ‘Tea For Trussell’ last Friday in the sunshine! We served a variety of sweets, hot and cold drinks and cakes, homemade and bought. In addition, we had a very popular ‘Guess the Number of Sweets in the Jar’ competition which included a prize of a book token from The Little Bookshop. Overall we raised an amazing £347 on the day. 

 

Thank you to all our staff who contributed by baking a cake for the day, the feedback was that they were all delicious. Also, thank you to all our friends, clients and passers-by who were able to join us or contributed in other ways, such as donations of food. I should also like to thank all the local businesses and schools who helped us promote the event and support it by attending, as well as the Chief Executive Officer for the Leeds North and West Foodbank, Karen Burgon, who was able to join us.

If you would like to donate food then this can be left at our Avery Walters Solicitors, Chapel Allerton office. Ideal items include: Long life juice, Tinned soup, Tinned veg, Tinned tomatoes, Tinned fruit, Long life milk, Sponge puddings, Shampoo, Deodorant and Snacks.
