What is harassment?
The act of harassment involves a person engaging in a course of conduct which amounts to the harassment of another. Harassing a person includes both alarming the person and/or causing the person distress. Section 1 of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 prohibits the harassment of another.
How we can help
Our harassment solicitors have worked on many cases to issue legal proceedings on the person responsible for the ongoing harassment. It is important to remember that harassment is a criminal offence and legal proceedings can lead to imprisonment and/or a fine.
